La Salle College bursary contest, 2009
1) PARTICIPATION
a) Contest duration
Contest launched for general public: 22 September, 2008.
Contest open to general public: September 21, 2009.
Contest begins September 21 and ends October 16, 2009.
Deadline to enter: October 16, 2009, at 5 p.m.
The prize draw will be held at LaSalle College, 2000 Sainte-Catherine Street West in Montréal, at approximately 10 a.m. on Friday, October 23, 2009.
b) Detailed contest description
As part of the Montréal National Education Fair and the National Job Fair of Montréal, which will take place from October 14 to 16, 2009 at Place Bonaventure, LaSalle College, in collaboration with INEO Inc., will be awarding a bursary in the amount of $10,000 to cover all admission and tuition fees for a complete DEC program at LaSalle College.
From September 21 to October 16, 2009, the contest will be promoted through TV ads shown weekdays from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. on the Métrovisionnetwork in the Montréal metro system. These videos will invite viewers to enter the contest using one of the following methods: completing the entry form in the October 11 edition of Le Journal de Montréal, completing an entry form at the welcome table at the entrance to the Fair or at the LaSalle College kiosk at the Fair, or by completing an online form at either www.salonnationaleducation.com/www.foirenationaleemploi.com or www.lasallecollege.com. The contest runs from September 21, 2009 to October 16, 2009, at 5 p.m.
It’s not necessary to attend the Fair to win the bursary.
Only Canadian residents may enter. No purchase required. Multiple entries per contestant are allowed.
c) Detailed prize description
The prize is one (1) bursary worth $10,000, covering all the administrative fees related to admission and tuition for a full study program (six semesters) in one of the programs offered by LaSalle College, but excluding textbooks and supplies. The bursary is transferable but has no monetary value and cannot be sold.

2) DRAW
To win the bursary, participants must register by completing the entry form in the October 11, 2009 edition of Le Journal de Montréal, at the La Salle College kiosk or welcome table at the entrance of the Fair, or by completing it online at www.salonnationaleducation.com/www.foirenationaleemploi.com or www.lasallecollege.com.
The draw will take place at LaSalle College, 2000 Sainte-Catherine Street West on Friday, October 23, at approximately 10 a.m.
The winner will receive a letter of confirmation from the LaSalle College administration, providing information on how to pick up their prize.
The name of the $10,000 bursary winner will be broadcast starting November 6, 2009, on the LaSalle College Internet site (www.lasallecollege.com) and on the Fair site (www.salonnationaleducation.com/www.foirenationaleemploi.com).
3) ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible to use the bursary, the winner must be a Quebec resident and fulfill all the criteria of the ministère de l'Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport du Québec applying to courses offered by LaSalle College.
Employees, agents and representatives of LaSalle College, INEO, Métromédia Plus, Métrovision, Le Journal de Montréal and affiliated companies, and anyone with whom any of the above is residing, LaSalle College students and students with any LaSalle International subsidiary are not eligible for this contest
4) CONDITIONS FOR RECEIVING THE $10,000 BURSARY
The winner shall receive a confirmation letter from LaSalle College management
The winner shall receive a confirmation letter from the LaSalle College administration informing them of how they can pick up the prize, which must be picked up by Friday, December 4, 2009 and used before August 31, 2010.
The maximum value of the prize is $10,000, which is equal to tuition and other fees for a Quebec resident studying at LaSalle College, and includes various administrative fees, but excludes textbooks and supplies.
The prize (bursary) is transferable but has no monetary value and cannot be sold.
By participating in this contest, the winner authorizes the organizers, donors and their representatives to use, if required, their name, photograph, image, city of residence, prize quotes and/or voice for advertising purposes, without any form of payment, compensation or indemnity. Parents or legal guardians of the winner also hereby authorize the organizers, donors and their representatives to use their name, photograph, image, city of residence, prize quotes and/or voice for advertising purposes, without any form of payment, compensation or indemnity.
Any objections concerning the organization or running of this advertising contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux uniquely in an attempt to resolve the dispute.
Any refusal to accept the prize (bursary) indemnifies LaSalle College and INEO from any obligation or responsibility for the prize, including the delivery thereof .
5) GENERAL
delivered exactly as described, the prizewinner agrees to accept, in lieu, a prize of an equivalent value or the equivalent monetary value, at the discretion of LaSalle College. In this event, the prizewinner renounces the right to any recourse or proceedings against LaSalle College, INEO or the supplier.
The contest is subject to the following official rule: LaSalle College and INEO assume no responsibility for loss, lateness, address errors, printing errors, technical malfunctions, telephone-line overloading, fraudulent calls, programming or other errors.
Throughout the entire contest period, LaSalle College and INEO are never in any way held responsible for a bursary of greater value than $10,000.
LaSalle College, INEO, the supplier and persons for whose benefit this contest is held, assume no responsibility of any nature in any case where their incapacity to act is caused by an event or situation out of their control, a strike, lockout or any other work conflict in their establishment or in the establishments of organizations or companies whose services are used for this contest.
The winner is solely responsible for any event of any nature that may occur after taking possession of the prize, and renounces the right to any recourse or proceedings against LaSalle College or INEO, neither of which assume any responsibility after delivering the prize to the winner.
